I got into this show using a name tag I found in the lot that said Accountant on it. I looked like a total tour rat but somehow talked my way in. This morning dew, while far from perfect, brought a tear to my eye. Sun setting over a beautiful stadium after a hot dessert day, Jer bringing it so high and then bringing it back so low before the final crescendo. Whatever else you can say about 95, Jerry left it all out there for us. If he flubbed the lyrics, most of the time he'd make up for it with the solo. Miss it/him, especially when the warmer weather comes around. I could use a little sunshine daydream bout now, touring around without a care but getting in and having enough gas to get to the next show.

Samba In The Rain is a musical felony: nobody is together, the vocals are middle aged drunken karaoke at best and it takes Jerry about 4 and a half minutes to find the tonal center of the song. The other guys never find it.
There is some good here too. Morning Dew is a highlight of this unrewarding show, being emotional if not terribly well played. But Drums and Space are the only place in this show where the band really takes off and gets creative. Drums is especially trippy and interesting. I'd love to take the drums and space sections from the last four years of the band and make a compilation/mix. Mick and Bill and the gang would let it all hang out during these excursions into uncharted waters.

#1 - I havent smoked in 23 years
#2 - Ive probably heard Morning Dew live probably 50 times or better.
Maybe ok or listenable you said - for a man who would be dead in less than 4 months this was a GREAT Morning Dew.
The Morning Dew on the Cow Palace release was incredible as well as numerous ones done the early 60s - 70s - 80s and evewn 90s. A great song by a great musician in his prime should be done well.
A great song by a man who was that close to death delivered the way Jerry did on that day is fucken incredible.
So that being said i stand by my previous review. Little side note here Bobby and Ratdog did a spectacular Dew in camden NJ in either 2007 or 2008. I forget which year but I was there and boy Bobby blew that doors off that joint with that one.
Further 3 nights in Feburary - NICE !!! Caught them 3 times in December GOOD STUFF.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best Dew ever? What are you smoking?
It's listenable, which is more than can be said for almost all of 95, but only sorta good. Maybe OK. Maybe you never heard a Dew before?
How bout 2/24/74 or for later years 9/18/87. Those are real Dews.

This was my buddy's first show. We scored tickets on the plane ride in from Austin (the friendly skies were like swap-meets in those days - remember??) Hitched ride with lawyers from MN on a 10-day tour gave us ride from hotel - one of their wives breastfed her baby in seat next to us while driver pleaded for alabama getaway opener. I looked at my friend and said "welcome to the show."
Smoked everything within 100 ft. of me on the floor during show and watched the masses writhing in the bleachers.
Wandered outer stretches of lot afterwards and saw the band tear by us in black stretch SUV's w/ police escort....tried to convince my buddy that Jer warranted secret service protection. Vegas '95!

Granted, there arent a whole lot of highlights to this show. But the one thing that tickles me is at the end of Lazy River when Jerry comments"Go ahead and pass all the unconscious up to the front here. We'll prop 'em up somewhere, stack 'em like logs. We're not doing this for fun you know.God!" Even if you weren't there, it helps you put things into perspective. Fat man rocks!

I sit and listen to this show, any show, every show and wonder to myself "How can anyone criticize?" I understand not every show was spectacular, not every moment was memorable, not every note was hit nor every lyric sung, yet....every memory is a smile. To hear a show again, great or not, reminds me of a time when life was carefree. These guys gave us that every show. For that, I can only smile groove in my chair and smile again remembering times past. I can never criticize those that gave me such fond memories!

It strange to think that only a few months later
Jerry would be gone. I think when you put it all together, Jerrys' health, problems within the band.
Despite it all I LOVE this show. Can't really explain the crazy vibe comment, D/L it and see what you think!!
Peace:Skippy

My last Dead Show - Been wanting to hear Morning Dew for years and oh what a Dew! I was 20 feet from Jerry and he sang it just for me. He was looking right at me and grinning all the way through. What a great memory of Jerry. Good show in spite of the Samba and good sound quality in spite of it being an AUD. Get it for the Morning Dew!

Well, at least this show is better than the previous night. It was nice to hear Race is On, China-Rider and Morning Dew...Jerry gets his shit together enough to belt out a nice Dew, he even wakes up a bit to deliver a couple classic runs...about the same quality as the 5-19 show, but the playing is better...

With the exception of my shoreline tickets within the next 2 weeks, this was the show that made me give up traveling outside of California to see a show. The 110 degree heat and the 40 minute 6 song sets finally got to me. One of the worst shows I've seen by the band.

I have very vague memories of this one. I remember my friend turning to me and saying "This is the last time we will ever hear Truckin."
I remember an awesone Dew, but everything else kinda escapes me. In listening to it today, I am surprised I don't have better memories because the performance is quite good, probably the best of the Vegas run.
There is on stage banter, only a few flubbed lyrics (hardly noticed) and some fine playing by all, including Jerry.

Under-rated. Give the first set a listen....Race is On thunders. Good stuff all around (Too bad for the Eternity closer). Jerry even pipes up - joking about the heat and something to the effect of "what? do you think we do this for fun?" China-Rider was better than many 90s versions I saw them play - Jerry really belts out the "North Bound Train" line. An inspiring Morning Dew welcomes the sunset over the sun-baked mountains surrounding the Silver Bull. Bottom line: This show would make for a nice 'highlights' disk - omitting Eternity, Samba, etc. - especially if you have memories of this show to cook up.

MY FIRST AND LAST RUN OF SHOWS IN VEGAS. BEST EVER PLACE TO SEE THEM. DEADHEADS EVERYWHERE IN VEGAS. WHAT A SITE TO SEE. AS PER OTHER REVIEW, I REMEMBER MORNING DEW WHICH DID BRING TEARS TO MY EYES THAT NIGHT. JERRY'S BANTER WAS A WELCOME TREAT AS WELL. DEFINITELY WORTH HAVING.

Nice bit of stage banter during Set 1 when Jerry announces that if anyone passes out, they should be passed up to the stage....hot as blazes at this one. Lackluster show, though. Too bad. I got married in the morning and went to this show with the Mrs in the afternoon. Jerry jumps in a verse early with "...north bound train..." on "Rider". It was that kinda show.

During a time when Jerry was more brain dead then alive, he certainly came out of his coma during the first solo of Morning Dew and our old Jer was back. He didn't even try to do a solo during the main solo part but considering all else, we were happy to get what we got. The rest of the show was fair to good
